Itinerary Details
Day 1 – 3: Welcome to Cairo and the Great Pyramids
Your discovery of Egypt begins! Meet & greet at the airport then take in Old Cairo’s city rhythms and Islamic heritage. Enjoy a leisurely evening at the riverside promenade.
Visit the astounding Great Pyramids of Giza and iconic Sphinx. Ride a camel. At the acclaimed Grand Egyptian Museum, discover exquisite ancient never-seen-before artifacts including King Tut treasures.

Day 4 – 5: Fly into Aswan. Day trip to the spectacular Abu Simbel
Direct flight to the southern town of Aswan. This produces 27 varieties of dates, sample or buy some at the local bazaar!
The next day, take a drive on the desert highway to the one-of-a-kind rock cliff temples of Abu Simbel. Built during the time of Ramses II, one of the most powerful rulers of Ancient Egypt. Twice a year, the sun ray shines deep into the temple to illuminate the faces of statues inside.
Day 6 – 8: Legendary Nile River on a luxury cruise
Embark on a relaxing 2 or 3 nights luxury cruise along the Nile. In the winter months, lunches on the sun deck allows guests to admire passing desert landscape of papyrus reeds and farmlands along this ancient waterway.
There will be stops to visit ancient sites including: Edfu temple, Kom Ombo temple and the beautiful island Temple of Philae – all with an Egyptology private guide by your side.
Day 9 – 10: Luxor’s Valley of the Kings and Queens
The ship arrives into Luxor, an important town near Ancient Egypt’s Valley of the King and Valley of the Queen. Enter the most magnificent tombs, followed by the Temple of Hatshepsut that is considered an architectural masterpiece.
Discover the impressive Karnak Temple – the largest religious complex ever built. Then complete your trip with a relaxing luxury stay along the Nile.

Fly back to Cairo. Escorted transfer between terminals for your international flight home.

The most comfortable months are Nov to Mar.
Winter months are cooler hence the best season to travel around Egypt. Daytimes are pleasantly warm (not too hot!) as you explore the magnificent sites. Evening temperatures drop to a pleasant cool where your shawl and light jacket come in handy.
